A lot of the debate about religion centers on fundamentalist Christianity versus fundamentalist atheism, and doesn't allow for any combination in between. It's a false dichotomy to state that either the Bible is literally inerrant and true, or there is no God.

I suggest reading Finding Darwin's God by Kenneth R. Miller. Dr. Miller is not the most elegant of writers; in fact I found the book painfully clumsy to read at points. In essence he points to how religionists have it wrong. He points to how scientific atheism is wrong. They he puts forth alternate ideas that suggest that God, basically, created science. Where Einstein famously claims that "God does not play dice," Miller states that yes, that's exactly what God did with the universe. Remember, though, that he's the "house" and invented the games of chance, ensuring that the house would win.

Keep reading. Keep learning. The more I lean, the less I know, but the more exciting the possibilities.

Aaron Houghton comments on Squarespace Review

This post has been removed.
